Kennesaw State University Department of Athletics issued a press release stating football head coach Brian Bohannon resigned from his position mid-season on Sunday, Nov. 10. Later that night, Bohannon posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, denying the press release and stating that athletics director Milton Overton, “was making a change in leadership.”

This decision angered many KSU alumni and current players. Bohannon was in his 10th season as Kennesaw’s head coach, where he founded the football program and led the team to multiple conference championships.
