Daniel Haugh, a champion hammer thrower from Kennesaw, Georgia, just returned home after competing in his second Olympic Games. The 29-year-old finished first in the U.S. Olympic Trials in June, but was eliminated during the qualifications in the Paris games on Aug. 2, 2024.

Reflecting on his experience in Paris this summer,  although he did not qualify, Haugh said he is optimistic for future competitions on the world stage. He is training every day to improve his performance and aims for new personal bests.
